When 100Kin10 announced the members of its 2018-19 Teacher Forum, we immediately noticed some familiar names in the list of 46 teachers chosen from around the country. We hope the WeTeach_CS Community will join us in congratulating Gianna Colson, Joy Schwartz, and Sylvia Wood for being recognized as leaders in their schools and communities.
Gianna Colson (@GiannaColson) – Teacher, Noemi Dominguez Elementary, La Feria ISD / Logo Foundation
Joy Schwartz (@joyschwartz) – LeadSTEMTeacher, STEM Center, Beaumont ISD / 3D printing ambassador
Sylvia Wood – Teacher, Rouse High School, Leander ISD / Robotics Team Coach
About the 100Kin10 2018-19 Teacher Forum
Teacher Forum Members will point us to real-time insights about what is happening “on the ground” by leading listening sessions in their schools or local STEM teaching communities and gathering information about what STEM teachers are hearing, seeing, and experiencing in their classrooms. We will compile and synthesize these insights, and then use them to inform our work and share them broadly with the network and field.
For Members, the Teacher Forum provides a unique opportunity to co
ntribute to 100Kin10’s mission to reverse the STEM teacher shortage and engage in the national conversation on STEM teaching.
