If you were afraid you’d heard about the program when it was too late too apply or you were worried you wouldn’t be able to get your application in on time, then fret no more! The application deadline for the Code.org Professional Learning Program has been extended to April 14th! Now you have plenty of time to learn about the program and submit your application. But don’t wait too long, the April 14, 2017 application deadline will be here before you know it.
El Paso might be closer to Los Angeles than it is to Beaumont, but that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about the CS community at the western tip of Texas! That’s why we’ve just expanded our WeTeach_CS Certification Prep Tour of Texas to include a 2-day workshop in El Paso on July 29-30.
Updated – March 20, 2017 – Read for new information – The WeTeach_CS Program at UT Austin’s Center for STEM Education has a limited number of scholarships available to reimburse the actual transportation and lodging costs of teachers attending one of the AP Summer Institutes listed below. Eligible applicants are Texas teachers planning to attend College Board approved AP Computer Science A and/or Computer Science Principles Institutes at either Rice University or Texas Christian University.
