For many years, educators and administrators across Texas have longed for the day that students could learn computer science without having to worry about the funding differences between Technology Application (Tech App) and Career & Technical Education (CTE) courses.
The 2016 WeTeach_CS Summit featured speakers such as Colleen Lewis of Harvey Mudd College and Chris Stephenson of Google, but most of the 56 sessions at the Summit were by CS teachers such as Regan White of Whitesboro High School and Ryan Torbey of Harmony School of Science – Austin. These presenters all had something to share with their fellow CS teachers and we know you do too!
Presentation proposals for the WeTeach_CS Summit to be held June 5-7, 2017 in Austin, TX are now being accepted. 2016’s inaugural WeTeach_CS Summit featured 56 breakout sessions on a variety of CS and related topics. Based on the positive feedback we received, we’re hoping to offer even more sessions for 2017!
2016 was a huge year for WeTeach_CS and with 2017 promising to be even bigger, you’re not going to want to miss a thing.
