E4 Youth is offering a free, hands on 360 video workshop on Saturday, February 24th to Austin area teachers. While video production is not specifically a CS-oriented activity, CS teachers might find it useful to learn about this new technology and to explore the creative side of tech through digital media creation.

Now’s a great time for high school journalism and audio/video production teachers and parents to get your students to learn about the future of media production. 360 video cameras that can shoot in 4K and stream live to the internet can be had for $150 and there are a wealth of free and inexpensive options for editing and publishing as well. We’ll help you sort out a workflow and some best practices for capturing and sharing 360 video.
