About CS Principles
The CS Principles Professional Learning program offers year round support designed for educators teaching a semester or full-year course. You don’t need any prior computer science experience to get started!
The program kicks off with WeTeach_TEX Con, a 5-day summer workshop where you’ll have the opportunity to work hands-on with the CS Principles curriculum. Throughout the year, we offer online support for upcoming units, forum support, and 1-day quarterly workshops. For more information about our goals and approach to professional learning, check out our professional learning values. Print a flyer to share with teachers or administrators at your school.
WeTeach_CS is working with Code.org, Rice, and UT Dallas to host the WeTeach_TEX Con in Richardson, Texas, from July 30 to August 3, 2018. Lodging, along with breakfast and lunch, will be provided. Transportation from your home to the training will be reimbursed. Texas teachers can also earn continuing professional education (CPE) credits for their participation! There will also be four follow-up quarterly workshops in the Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio areas in the 2018-19 school year. Additional regions might be added based on teacher demand.
