The Texas State Board of Education gave final approval to revise TAC 231.257 to allow teachers with a Technology Applications certification OR a Computer Science certification to teach Fundamentals of Computer Science and the new AP Computer Science Principals courses. That means it will be easier to teach Fundamentals of CS in middle school! The SBOE is also in the process of adding AP Computer Science Principles to the STEM endorsement, so hopefully this will happen before the end of the school year.

This is big news for the CS4TX community. Of course, this is only part of the story. We still need more teachers to become CS certified to help us achieve CS for All in Texas.
