2018 WeTeach_CS Summit and Deep Dives

For 2018, we’ve expanded our WeTeach_CS Summit and Deep Dives with so many new sessions, strands, and activities that we’ve had to move to a bigger location! Come join us for two, three, or five days of CS professional development suitable for prospective, new, and experienced K-12 CS teachers.

WeTeach_CS Summit – June 18-20

This year’s WeTeach_CS Summit will be our biggest event yet, with 93 (!!!) breakout sessions, four general sessions, exhibitor fair, student playground, awards, a 3-D printed violin, and keynote session featuring national authority on STEM education and equity, Kamau Bobb.

The WeTeach_CS Summit is a 3-day event which educates, empowers, and inspires K-12 CS teachers, advocates, administrators, professional development providers, university instructors, and policy-makers to advance the goal of CS for All in Texas and beyond. This year’s Summit will be held on the shores of the San Gabriel River at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center in Georgetown, TX, just outside of Austin. Approximately 450 CS champions will be in attendance. More information / Register Now!

  • Coding Clubs and Camps (C3)
  • CS Unplugged
  • Integrating Computational Thinking into Core Academics
  • Physical Computing

WeTeach_CS Deep Dives is a special 1.5-day workshop event which picks up right where the WeTeach_CS Summit (June 18-20) leaves off. So, if the three days of the 2018 WeTeach_CS Summit just doesn’t sound like enough CS professional development goodness for your tastes, then consider sticking around and taking part in WeTeach_CS Deep Dives! But you don’t have to attend the WeTeach_CS Summit in order to attend a Deep Dives course. Maybe you only have time to take a quick dip into one of the featured subjects. No problem–that’s what Deep Dives are for! More information / Register Now!
